Exercise A.R.S.E III Concludes

  As the month of April drew to a close, so did exercise A.R.S.E III. In the last stages of the exercise we conducted ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare) to locate and destroy 2 A.R.S.E Navy Submarines. As the simulated war drew to a close, UKAFv pilots took out the last remaining "targets" before restoring peace to the Isle of man. All pilots have now since returned to EGXC. Dave flying the P8 Poseidon.  There's 2 submarines out there...somewhere! Flying a 737-800 at 1000ft over the sea. VE Day London Flypast

  On the 5th May, Dan, Dave, Alfie and Myles took to the skies for a formation flypast of London and Buckingham Palace. The flight went well thanks to the training and hard work of all pilot's involved, especially Myles as this was his first time. It's absolutely fantastic that we can all come together and celebrate  the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe in our own special way. The mall and Buckingham Palace a.k.a Bucky P

Exercise A.R.S.E III Continues with Air to Air Refuelling

It's been a busy weekend for us! On Friday we took part in Air to Air Refuelling with A330 MRTT tanker aircraft from RAF Brize Norton. On Saturday morning and afternoon we continued exercise A.R.S.E III. After the exercise concluded we routed back for some more Air to Air Refuelling! Thank you to Myles, Oliver, Rocco and Fida for joining us and making it a good weekend. We hope to fly with you again soon!

Exercise A.R.S.E III - Opening day

 On Thursday, UKAFv deployed to RAF Leeming which is the fictional Forward Operating Base for the exercise. We have now started the simulated missions which will help us to learn and retain vital skills.

IVAO Formation Escort with the German Air Force

 This morning, HAVOC24 provided formation escort for GAF533 en-route to BIKF.

Low Level Flying and Ex-A.R.S.E III

 Now back in the UK, members of UKAF flew PC-21's from RAF Valley to work on essential low level flying skills. This was conducted in the mach loop, inside LFA 7. Further more, the spool up to Exercise A.R.S.E III has begun! members of UKAF have started working on fictional intelligence tasks and will soon deploy to RAF Leeming which has taken the role of the fictional Forward Operating Base.
